When people ask me why I love being a wedding photographer I will always use example reasons from Britt + Jon’s wedding day. The love these two share for each other is indescribable. One of the sweetest moments of the entire day was right before the ceremony when both Britt + Jon were surrounded by their closest friends and family for a prayer circle. The prayers their friends said over them right before they walked down the aisle brought me to tears! It brings me so much joy that these two will be starting their lives together as husband and wife with an incredibly supportive team.
Other moments from this day that stand out in my mind are the nonstop smiles that Jon had on his face when talking about Britt! He was so excited to see his soon to be wife walk down the aisle and it made my heart melt! Both Britt + Jon are the first of their siblings to get married so there was extra excitement in the air from both families.
These two lovebirds got engaged on February 29th of this year (leap year) and had planned on having a bigger wedding with more friends and family but Covid-19 had other plans. Instead, they held a small intimate ceremony at Oak Tree Manor and live-streamed it for their extended friends and family. It was such a cool feeling knowing that even though their original guest list wasn’t able to physically be there they were still able to celebrate them on their big day virtually.
And that’s what I loved most about Britt + Jon’s wedding day. It didn’t matter that their original plans were canceled because of Covid, they just wanted to take the next step and become husband and wife. Marriage is about loving someone so much that you choose everyday to be on their team. Marriage is about standing up in front of your friends and family (and thanks to tech this can be done virtually) to vow to one another that you will always and forever be on each other’s teams. To support one another through thick and through thin, for better or for worse.
I am so incredibly happy for Britt + Jon and for the life you two are about to start with one another. I wish you both safe travels on your Honeymoon as you road trip across Texas and will always be here for you throughout your marriage to help document your one of a kind love story 😀
Seeing how happy this group of ladies were for Britt made my heart smile! 🙂
There’s nothing sweeter than a group of women genuinely building up each others confidence and I loved watching them take care of one another. ❤️
Hours away from becoming Mrs. Isenhower – eeekkk!!! ❤️
I couldn’t have picked a nicer group of guys to work with, they were a hoot!
Britt’s Dad’s reaction to seeing her for the first time made me tear up!! Afterwards he told me that that he was not expecting how impactful that moment was going to be for him and that he was so happy we had planned it in the timeline. Britt is his first born and the first of his children to get married. These are my ALL TIME favorite memories to freeze in time! His expression is priceless 😀
Crying behind the camera right now! Such a sweet moment.
This No Look First Look was so incredibly special to watch unfold! ❤️ Jon wrote Britt a letter and they prayed together before the ceremony. You can feel the excitement in these photos!! 😀
Jon and Britt decided to have a No Look First Look instead of a true First Look, which was so special for them! Due to time constraints after the ceremony this does mean that we will get about 50% less portraits but they weren’t worried about it. They wanted to keep tradition and wait to see each other until she walked down the aisle and I was totally supportive of their decision 🙂
Britt + Jon each wanted to have a prayer circle with their friends and family before the ceremony. It was so special to be apart of, another teary eyed moment of mine!
There wasn’t a dry eye in the house after those prayer circles!
Britt’s final moment before walking down the aisle – eeekk! 😀
THEY DO! ❤️

Giant group shots of everybody who attended the wedding are some of my FAVORITE! All the people you love most in one picture 😀
Another joyous tear shed, such a sweet moment!
Marriage looks good on you two!
PRO TIP IN 3 STEPS: angle your hips at 45 degrees, pop the knee closest to the camera, and twist your shoulders towards the camera. Sounds complicated but I promise it’s simple and makes all the difference in photos! 😀
The final moments before entering their wedding reception as husband + wife! 😀
Toasts from the Maid of Honor, Best Man, and fathers of the Bride + Groom.
We played a fun game, enjoyed the most delicious chocolate espresso cupcakes, and tossed the bouquet!

Shoutout to Britt’s Uncle Timo for recording the entire wedding for their home videos! He made me feel like a part of the family when he asked me to record a message for them – so much fun!
